Competition & Ultra High-Performance Heads(CHEVY)
Victor Jr. 23°
- Ideal for racers looking for an affordable head that makes maximum power, the Victor Jr. 23° heads
are designed for competition and ultra high-performance street small-blocks and accept standard valvetrain hardware. They
have a 530-580 hp potential, out-of-the-box, for a cost effective, race-winning set-up. Combustion chamber sizes include
70cc or the 64cc version that is ideal for entry level racers or high-end street. The 64cc combustion chamber yields
around 10.2:1 compression in a zero-deck flat-top 350-inch engine, and about 12.5:1 when used with a 12cc domed piston. Both
versions of the Victor Jr. 23° head feature high-flow 215cc intake ports with CNC port-matched entries, .300" raised exhaust
ports, hardened, ductile iron valve seats and manganese-bronze guides. A 9/16" thick deck surface provides superior gasket
retention. See chart for more specs. Match with an Edelbrock Super Victor #2925 manifold for maximum power.

Edelbrock and Chapman Racing…
- Professionally Prepared, CNC-Ported Heads at an Affordable Price!
Every set of Edelbrock/Chapman heads are race-ready, out-of-the-box. Edelbrock’s 60+ years of engineering experience
combined with the design and machining skills of Chapman Racing produce maximum flow and performance for competition. Circle
Track magazine wrote this about Mike Chapman, “He has attained a Zen-like mastery of cylinder head port design through
a lifetime of experience… his stuff wins races and championships in everything from Daytona to the short tracks near
you.” Edelbrock/Chapman wins races.
-
- Designed for high-output, small-block competition engines, the Victor 23° High-Port CNC heads are ideal for applications
that require higher flow levels than those available from standard port heads. Fully CNC-ported by Mike Chapman and his team
of expert machinists, these heads have 71cc combustion chambers and come in three intake port sizes. The valve cover rail
is raised .600" and the rocker arm minimum offsets are: Intake .350" with zero offset on the exhaust side. These heads require
intake and exhaust valves that are +.200" longer than stock or if 1.980" or taller valve spring height is desired, use .300"
longer than stock valves. See actual flow figures at 28" of water. Match these heads with our Victor Series High-Port manifolds #2926, #2967, #2968 or #2971 for proven performance and a winning
combination. SeeApplication Guide for Edelbrock/Chapman CNC-Ported Small-Block Chevy Heads.
-
- Victor 18° CNC heads have fully CNC-machined combustion chambers and CNC-ported intake/exhaust ports by Chapman Racing.
An ideal match for Edelbrock Victor Series 18° manifolds, these heads are machined for 1.625" exhaust valves and 2.125" intake
valves for the 236cc port and 2.180" intake valves for the 252cc and 256cc ports. They require valves that are +.600" longer
than stock with rocker arm minimum offsets of .550" intake and .220" exhaust. Heads can be milled up to .100" to reduce chamber
size. The intake flange is drilled for 1- and 2-piece manifolds and includes a center water outlet for auxiliary cooling system
options. See actual flow numbers. See Application Guide for Edelbrock/Chapman CNC-Ported Small-Block Chevy Heads.
-
Edelbrock/Chapman Victor 15° CNC
- Starting with our Victor 18° head, we rolled over the casting another 3° and raised the valve seat to create two new heads
that offer potential performance gains well beyond the 18° design. These heads are fully CNC machined by Chapman Racing Heads
in the intake, exhaust and combustion chamber, and feature coolant passages around the center two exhaust seats and the center
of the intake flange for auxiliary coolant plumbing. This high-flow port design with a reduced chamber volume makes the #61119
an excellent choice for virtually all forms of racing, while the larger intake port volume of #61139 is better suited to high
rpm stick-shift drag racing applications. The intake flange is drilled for both one piece and two-piece 18° intake manifolds
and the exhaust bolt holes are Heli-Coiled™ for added strength. #61139 is compatible with all standard 18° intake manifolds
but is best matched to high flow drag race manifolds like our Glidden Victor dominator manifold #2859. See Application Guide for Edelbrock/Chapman CNC-Ported Small-Block Chevy Heads

Victor Jr. 24° Rectangular Port
- The Victor Jr. 24° head #77459 is based on the Victor 24° head but with a smaller 300cc intake port t that is designed
for smaller bore, smaller cubic-inch engines. It is ideal for competition engines up to 510 c.i.d. with 4.25” or bigger
bores. Like the Victor 24° head, it has been angle machined 2.4° and the valve locations altered to both improve flow and
combustion efficiency. The head shares the same exhaust ports and much improved valve train geometry of the Victor 24°, and
the 300cc intake port flows 375+cfm while maintaining good velocity. This greatly improves throttle response and makes this
head ideal for use with the throttle control devices common in Super class racing today. #77469 is a semi-finished head with
seats and guides supplied but not installed, and #77459 is finished with a valve job and bowl blending and includes 2.25”
intake and 1.90” exhaust valves with 11/32” stems. Springs, retainers, and locks are included for typical roller
cams used in these applications. Note: The top of the bore may need to be relieved to clear the valves.
